ABOUT

I am Fareeha Jay, your dietitian.

I graduated in 2000 with a Masters in Anthropology from Quaid-I-Azam University in Pakistan. Then worked for various organisations as an Anthropologist in Pakistan before immigrating to the United Kingdom in 2004.

It was here in the UK where I started working in a health-based organisation as a Community Development Officer. I worked alongside dieticians and was impressed how dietitian had a positive impact on people’s life style by giving good advice on food and diet.

Experiencing this change made me embark on a career as a dietitian, where I could bring about a positive change in people’s lives. Hence, why I did a degree and began my journey to become a Dietitian and am now registered with the Health & Care Professions Council in the UK

I am extremely passionate to provide the best available nutrition advice to the people with Southern Asian background. I believe that the people of South Asia are very receptive, and eager to learn but don’t have access to advice that is easy to understand and digest. Thus I want to bring about a change. A change to nutrition, diet and lifestyle of all those who want to embrace it.

I want to provide a platform where a bridge is built between awareness and food choices.

I want each one of you on this platform to prepare their own diet plan. That’s why my motto is simple “It’s not a diet but a lifestyle Change”
