A study was published in Lancet showing an association with diet and disease, showing correlation between bad diets ad mortality. This study doesn’t look at the confounders therefore we must keep in mind that there can be several other factors .
These findings suggest that we need to improve our lifestyle but surely shouldn’t be used to scare people .
Rather we should take this study as a reminder and a nudge for all of us to start focussing on a healthier lifestyle . Increase intake of fruit and vegetables , include plant based proteins, reduce salt intake, include whole meal /whole grain foods, increase hydration and be more active.
